Today Tuesday 17^th  April the ladies held their International Competition. Teams from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales competed to win the trophy and have their flag on display for the coming year. Despite horrendous weather forecasts, the ladies managed to complete their 17 hole Stable ford competition in good weather with the scores totalled at the end.

The scores were very close but England triumphed with Ireland second. Scotland was third and finally Wales. Individually Ali Maclean was the winner with 32 points and Daphne Smith second with 31 after a count back from Tina Bruder.

Eighteeen teams of Grey Nags  thoroughly enjoyed their new season’s traditional opener of a very competitive Texas Scramble.

Learn Golf in a Day.

To celebrate the Midland golf week here at Leamington and County Golf club we are offering a great ‘Learn Golf in a Day’ course. With an indoor academy, practice field and practice green with bunker, all aspects of the game can be covered.

Grip, stance and swing are just the start of what will be a testing, but enjoyable day.

  For         16 – 25 yr olds

  When    Saturday 14^th April

 Time :       10-12 (break for lunch) 2-4pm.

No equipment needed just comfortable clothes (preferable no blue jeans) and waterproof jacket in case of wet weather

  Cost:  Send £20 to book a place as a cheque or cash marked for Angie Eadon’s attention and have it returned to you when you arrive on the day.

20th May Mixed Greensomes Stableford

29th May Ladies Team (3’s) Stableford 18 hole competition in the morning and a 9 hole competition in the afternoon.

There are still spaces in these events.

What is a Golf Skills Challenge? – 10 different games focusing on putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play and full swing.

Who can come? – Anyone coming to our coaching sessions

When is it? – On Wednesday April 4^th at 2pm

Why? – See how much you have learnt from the lessons & which certificate you will get

Will it be Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum?
